Fund manager, Rob Burnett, uses the same global macro view that Neptune apply across their fund range, to assist in his stock selection.  Burnett then seeks to identify companies that are positioned in sectors that are best placed to take advantage of the main macro themes.  The fund employs a tight target price discipline to ensure that a fund is not held onto for too long if it is over priced; and interestingly the fund has an income class of share that pays a moderate, if unspectacular yield.

Old Mutual European Equity

Instead of being managed by one person, this fund is managed by Old Mutual’s quantitative strategies team.  The fund seeks to exploit market inefficiencies, highlighted by the teams stock return modeling process.  On top of the portfolio that the ‘quant’ team construct is overlaid factors such as investment risk and cost, to create a balanced stock selection.
